Hi! I’m Jennifer Martain.

I’m an author and idea-generator who believes creative empathy is the key to solving any problem—and to writing indelible characters! Join a community of curious readers, thinkers, and fellow creatives as we consider the possibilities!

Here’s what you can expect

I’m allowing myself the freedom to focus on the joy of creating, rather than following a set schedule or plan… but all subscribers will receive writing updates and musings on creativity—with a sprinkle of nerdy tidbits on random topics.

And new for 2025… “The Creative If” podcast! Subscribers will receive notice of new episodes, as well as helpful links and tips to continue exploring topics.

2025 will also be a busy year for writing and publishing, and free subscribers will have access to a substantial portion of my works-in-progress.

The benefits of a paid subscription

Paid subscribers have full access to all content including:

  • my published books/audiobooks shared on Substack

  • all works-in-progress, including my notes on development & editing

  • personal posts and moody poetry

  • plus bonus content, special discussion threads, and workshops

Founding Members are also recognized in the Acknowledgments of novels published during membership, and can schedule a free 1-hour “creative consult” video call once per year—which also includes email follow-up.

I’m a creative empath, author, editor, designer, intuitive researcher, marketer—and even do interior and home design—so if you’re stuck on a creative project of your own, this call will help.

I’ll brainstorm with you and share actionable steps and/or resources to help you get unstuck and back to creating!

Thank you for being a curious reader!
