Free book and publishing update
Okay, so that headline is a bit click-baity. I have nothing against Valentine’s Day other than the voracious consumerism and those gross little candy hearts. But! It was the perfect way to share that Forgetting the Lost will be FREE tomorrow on Amazon!
Forgetting the Lost is the darkest of my published books—a Southern Gothic meets supernatural suspense deep-dive into the early life of Madeline Galloway, the grandmother of Lila Givens from Daughters of Men.
Set in the 1940s, it can be read as a prequel (lots of clues!) but also works as a strange and unsettling standalone.
Both titles are currently enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, but Forgetting the Lost will be FREE on Saturday the 15th. The day after V-day. When we’re recovering from the hangover of all things heart-shaped and sweet and in desperate need of a dose of (non-alcoholic) literary bitters.

Like Moonlight on Water
This novel delves so deeply into the psyches of Lila and Sal, that at times I’ve had to step back. Sometimes for weeks, and occasionally for months…but this novel has become all the better for my missed deadlines.
Which is why I am not going to just toss it out in the world without a proper launch!
I’m resuming posting chapters on Substack, but on March 24th the book will move behind the paywall, accessible for paid subscribers and ARC readers only…
And on May 4th, Like Moonlight on Water will be available for purchase on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and all other major retail sites. ✨🎉✨
